Jersey Mike's was an interesting challenge. Their franchise is thriving. Their awareness numbers, at the time, were not good. Not good at all. Their previous creative certainly didn't help the cause. We needed to launch a new campaign. Our strategy was simple—Tell people that Jersey Mike's Subs will go to any lengths to make the best sub on the planet. As acting group creative director and (out of necessity) acting art director, I took the simple yet humorous approach of using a fun, unassuming, and slightly obsessed spokesperson to tell our story. A great director and a great actor helped me launch some creative that, given where they were, I'm pretty proud of.
Needless to say this last COMMERCIAL didn't run. Thanks for nothing, Corona virus.
